“Refreshing Citrus Delight: Lemon and Elderflower Tea”

Lemon and elderflower tea is a flavorful and refreshing herbal infusion made by combining lemon and elderflower flavors with tea. It typically involves using a base tea, such as black tea or herbal tea, along with the addition of fresh lemon juice and elderflower syrup or cordial.

Lemon provides a citrusy and tangy flavor, adding a bright and refreshing element to the tea. Elderflower, on the other hand, contributes a delicate floral note, bringing a subtle sweetness and aroma to the beverage. The combination of lemon and elderflower creates a harmonious blend that is both zesty and floral.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups of water
  • 2 tea bags (regular black tea or herbal tea of your choice)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tablespoon of elderflower syrup or elderflower cordial
  • Honey or sugar (optional, for sweetening)

Here’s how you can prepare lemon and elderflower tea:

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a kettle or saucepan.
  2. Once the water reaches a boil, remove it from the heat and add the tea bags. Allow the tea bags to steep for about 3 to 5 minutes, or according to the instructions on the tea packaging.
  3. While the tea is steeping, squeeze the juice of 1 lemon into a separate container or a small pitcher.
  4. After the tea has steeped, remove the tea bags and discard them.
  5. Pour the hot tea into the container with the lemon juice, making sure to strain out any tea leaves or particles.
  6. Stir in 1 tablespoon of elderflower syrup or elderflower cordial into the tea mixture. Adjust the amount according to your taste preferences.
  7. If desired, you can add honey or sugar to sweeten the tea. Start with a teaspoon of honey or sugar and adjust to your desired sweetness level.
  8. Once the tea is well mixed and sweetened to your liking, it’s ready to serve. Pour the tea into two cups or mugs and enjoy!

Remember that the steeping time and sweetening amount can be adjusted based on personal preferences. Feel free to experiment and make adjustments to suit your taste.
